Clip Studio App Tutorial for iPad Pro
Clip Studio Paint is a powerful digital painting and comic illustration tool that offers a wide range of features and functionalities. In this tutorial, we will explore how to import brushes, photos, and documents in Clip Studio Paint on iPad Pro.
Importing Brushes
Importing brushes in Clip Studio Paint is a straightforward process. To get started, follow these steps:
- Long hold on a brush
- Let go and then push "Duplicate"
- Rename the duplicated brush (e.g., "Detail")
The duplicated brush will be moved to the bottom of the list. You can create a new section and name it as desired. Then, go to Dropbox (or other storage location) to access a collection of brushes. Select a brush to import and click "Export". A popup window will appear, click "Open an App" (may need to scroll to find it) and select "Clip" as the option. The brush will be imported automatically and will be available for use.
Additionally, when creating a new brush, you can duplicate an existing one and then rename it. You can delete the tool section afterwards if needed.
Importing Photos from Photo Library
To import photos from your Photo Library in Clip Studio Paint, follow these steps:
- Go to File > Import > From Photo Library
- This will open your device's photo library, where you can select the image you want to import
- The selected image will be imported into Clip Studio Paint
Importing Photos or Documents through Cloud Storage
To import photos or documents (e.g., Photoshop documents or Clip Studio documents) through cloud storage in Clip Studio Paint, follow these steps:
- Go to the File menu and select Export (note: this is counterintuitive, but it's the correct step)
- Click on Open in App and select the cloud storage app (e.g. Dropbox)
- This will allow you to select a file from your cloud storage account and import it into Clip Studio Paint
Important Notes:
- The process may take a few seconds to load, especially for larger files
- It's unclear if this method works with Photoshop documents, but it does work with Clip Studio Paint files
